Dr. Prough recently became certified by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) to evaluate a golfer’s physical ability to perform an efficient golf swing. To have an efficient golf swing you must generate swing speed and power. Dr. Prough’s role is to improve your flexibity, joint mobility, stability, muscular strength and balance to improve your game/efficiency. The TPI program also focuses on injury prevention. The Initial Screen determines your specific weaknesses as a golfer which may lead to swing faults and injury. Dr. Prough will provide a thorough report of findings and a customized exercise program. It is important to have a customized program to address your physical restrictions, prevent possible injury and maximize your golf potential. Players can train at our facility or independently. TPI recommends training with fitness staff in order to monitor your progress. Also, the player should team up with a golf professional to work on the swing changes with their increased flexibility, stability and mobility. Dr. Prough has favorable relationships with many local golf professionals and can supply you with a referral if needed.
